Here is an amazing letter we received in November, 2010:
“I am so thankful for your ministry that provides such needed help to so many people seeking guidance and hurting from mistakes they’ve made. Enclosed is a donation to this great cause but I couldn’t resist writing to you about how God spoke to my heart and led me to support your ministry.
When I was 15 years old I became pregnant. I went seeking for help from family and friends only to receive negative support and hopelessness of keeping my baby. I had the support of my boyfriend, which is now my husband, that we would work through whatever came our way having this child. Within a week family members had convinced my husband that abortion was the only realistic option. When he told me I had never felt so alone, hopeless and desperate in my life. I tried to get a family member to take the child but in the end I ended up having an abortion.
After many years I found healing that I thought could never happen. I decided when my children were grown I would like to get involved with helping others that found themselves in similar situations as mine. I didn’t want anyone to ever feel the way I did. It’s been on my mind a lot lately because my last child left for college this fall.
I recently attended a retreat with a friend and out of nowhere I broke down and told my friend my story and dream of helping young pregnant teens in trouble. I began to really pray that night asking god why this was so heavy on my heart and what I was supposed to do with it. I asked God to please give me a clear answer as to what to do and the very next day I received your packet in the mail and it literally took my breath away. I knew God was prompting me to join the journey of the life, health and hope of this ministry.
I don’t know where this will lead in the future but I’m excited to take the first step in investing in your ministry. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and may God bless all that this ministry provides and has visions for.”
